Job Description:
• Responsible for organizing, planning, supervising, and directing the activities of Lending Department to ensure efficient and effective lending and customer services to members.
• Sets goals and priorities for department and staff, takes accountability for process and work flow improvement and for achieving department Strategic and Scorecard objectives.
• Administers the Home Equity and Consumer loan portfolio on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensures/assigns processing, disclosure, underwriting, settlement, collateral perfection and quality control of new loans.
• Performs all duties of a Lender. Underwrites loan request and approves loans up to individual lending authority. Cross-sells services in a professional manner.
• Collaborates with other departments within the Credit Union to continuously improve the lending product line to meet member needs.
• Keeps informed of market conditions and competitive interest rates to implement/recommend changes
• Prepares a variety of on-going and special reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly, etc. basis.
• Manages vendor partners to provide ancillary products and services, and monitors their performance.
• Acts as back-up for the Lending Services Manager when necessary, and performs other supervisory and/or lending related duties as assigned by Lending Services Manager.

Job Requirements:
• BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years progressively more responsible experience in Home Equity and Consumer lending.
• Minimum 3 years previous supervisory experience.
• Ability to implement new products, services and work flow processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of real estate and consumer lending policies, procedures, regulations, compliance and legislation.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and other PC based programs.
• Limited travel may be required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
