Job Description:
• Supervises the Recovery Services Department, sets goals and priorities for the department and staff.
• Takes accountability for process and work flow improvement and achieving department Strategic and Scorecard objectives.
• Oversees and prioritizes Recovery Services Specialist activities and reviews account queues to ensure delinquent accounts and negative shares are worked effectively, efficiently and creatively while in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
• Reviews and analyzes delinquent loan/negative share accounts for charge off recommendation to the Delinquent Loan Committee/Senior Management on a monthly basis, in accordance with policy.
• Charges off accounts approved by BOD and senior staff using approved procedure and codes.
• Manages the Courtesy Pay collection program administration and coordinates the collection procedures, charge-off and recovery process.
• Collaborates with other departments within the Credit Union to continuously improve the Recovery Services processes.
• Coordinates on-going portfolio review and analysis process and makes decisions regarding member account blocking and closure.
• Responsible for handling bankrupt accounts and vehicle repossessions.
• Evaluates and approves payment deferment requests. Approves and restructures loans to members based upon analysis of member repayment capacity and willingness.
• Has primary responsibility for recommending real estate modifications, workouts, Troubled Debt Restructures and foreclosures.

Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED). College coursework in Business and/or Finance helpful.
• Minimum 5 years experience working with Consumer, Home Equity and Mortgage loan collections and delinquencies.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity with strong management/leadership skills.
• Ability to deal with difficult members, resolve problems and work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of credit, lending and collections policies and procedures.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and other PC based programs.
• Limited travel may be required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
