Job Description:
Residential Remodeling Lead Carpenter

As the Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for production at this remodeling firm. You will take all remodeling projects from the design team and carry them through from contract to completion and through the warranty period. Your knowledge in the remodeling construction field will enable you to manage all subcontractor relationships, overseeing their work on each jobsite and seeking new subcontractors to join our team.

Responsibilities:
• Interact with clients and fellow employees in a professional, positive, and responsive manner
• Responsible for the protection and security of both the materials delivered and installed on the jobsites as well as the clients home and other property
• Respond to client requests for changes in the scope of work by identifying the specific changes desired and work with the necessary personnel
• Ensure jobsite organization and safety, treat everyone with respect, obtain and produce the highest quality work and make sure the job is ready before a subcontractor arrives.
• Develop and maintain efficient and timely progression of the project, ensuring it stays on budget and on schedule; schedule shall be developed and maintained with computerized scheduling software

Qualifications:
This position calls for the candidate to be available for flexible work hours and be available after hours should emergencies arise during projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact and communicate well with other employees, subcontractors and clients. The ability to lead and teach others is highly desired. In addition, this role requires construction knowledge as it relates to the field of remodeling including rough carpentry, plan layout, foundations, roofing and finish carpentry experience and knowledge including trim, cabinetry installation and interior finishes. Other qualifications include:
• Texas State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to pass drug screen and background check
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years remodeling carpentry experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of scheduling software
• Good working knowledge of all related building trades
• Must be able to interpret blueprints

*This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis.
