Job Description:
Intel and Security Solutions with recent project management background with the following attributes
deep experience and expertise in one or more of the following Federal Agencies;NRO, DIA, NGA, CIA, DHS, FBI
deep knowledge of the market with proven record to identify, capture and win major contracts
dynamic leader capable of ¿building¿ a line of business
have a real vision to articulate and execute a strategic business IC growth plan
The candidate will design, implement and direct line of business development objectives utilizing all available resources to identify new target markets and expand market share in Defense and non-Defense related activities (that is the development of defense operations, modeling and simulation, information technology, wireless communication, industrial technology solutions, chemical-biotechnology-nuclear engineering, explosive sciences, marine and naval engineering professional engineering solutions. A highly qualified candidate will be a self starter with an accomplished track record of identification and capture of government contract research and development as well operations solutions.
The candidate's primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Plan, initiate and determine government customer preferences and needs that result in funded solutions germane to Alion business competencies
Identify/define opportunities that can lead to additional products and services
Prioritize opportunities, develop & critique marketing and capture strategies
Maintain strong business acumen including ability to initiate and evaluate business strategies that result in leading the organization efficiently, effectively, and with acceptable risk.
Job Requirements:
BS in related engineering field. (MS degree preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in government contract customer relationships.
Desired individual shall have experience in marketing/selling major programs to: Defense Agencies such as MDA, DISA, DARPA DTRA, NGA, DIA, NSA, NRO and the Military Dept R&D community such as AMC/RDECOM, SMDC, NGIC, ONR, NRL, SPAWAR, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, ONI, AFMC/AFRL, Cyber , NASIC and COCOMS such as STRATCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, TRANSCOM, and SOF as well as similar government agencies.
Strong problem solver with demonstrated ability to build teams, lead and manage.
Must have strong organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
This person needs to be particularly interested in helping others sell the business
Hands-on, able to critique our business approaches, have a strong rolodex, and FMS familiarity not essential but desirable.
Able to obtain an active Security Clearance.
