Front Office Desktop GUI Developer - Microsoft.Net/ C#/ TIBCO EMS

Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of software development of high speed, real-time front-end trader desktop applications. The developer will use and enhance and use foundation components to create a Financial Futures Trading and Middle Office desktop application with Order Blotter, Order Entry, trade allocation functionality, visual/audible alerts, client/exchange connection monitoring. This individual will be asked to translate business requirements into working production quality software in a Microsoft .NET C# environment through standard software development practices. Ongoing support of production deployed components will be mandatory.

Technical:

• Expert in Microsoft .NET (2.x, 3.x) development; 4+ years of experience.

• Solid working experience in Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)

• Experience with third-party grid controls integration.

• Must have solid understanding and experience with Tibco EMS, HTTP, SOAP web services, SSL, multi-tiered and distributed systems.

• Experience in integrating .NET client applications with Java back-ends.

• Demonstrated development of highly responsive, scalable, framework and pattern based UI applications.

• Demonstrated experience with continuous integration environments.

• Demonstrated and working knowledge of databases (schema design, troubleshooting, SQL)

• Ability to prototype GUI components and later translate a working prototype into a robust solution.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in building real-time trader desktop applications a must.

• Trading domain knowledge. Futures trading knowledge a plus.

• Ability to understand business/functional requirements and translate them into development tasks.

• Ability to train/lead junior developers.
