Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of agricultural commodities by integrating food safety processes into a highly effective plant supply chain system. Duties include:
Grower/supplier approval through the supply chain approval processes;
Designing and implementing a long-term plant food safety supply chain strategy;
Ensuring 100% document compliance;
Monitoring supplier adherence to GAP and GMP standards;
Working with suppliers who one touch label to ensure the same standards are met within the supply base;
Encouraging and coaching suppliers development;
Operating the KPI systems for monitoring supplier performance for safety, quality and legality;
Striving for corrective improvement in the supply base;
Liaison with enforcement and industry bodies: 3rd Party GAP audit bodies, County Ag, and Post harvest technology groups.

Job Requirements:
Education: 4-year degree required: Agriculture or Food Technology preferred.
Required skills:
3+ years of field experience in an agricultural growing operation or produce pack house;
Must have experience in auditing crops and working with growers to ensure compliance;
Food Safety certified (AID, SCS, SGS, Primus, Davis Fresh, or Silliker);
Bilingual Spanish;
GAP and GMP;
Auditing experience (Lead Assessor, ISO).
