Job Description:
Mission Essential Personnel (MEP) is currently seeking Pashto linguists to fill positions overseas. We are looking for native Afghan individuals who possess a demonstrated, intimate, firsthand understanding of Southwest Asian culture and Afghan society, in particular acquired by personal experience or professional study. Individuals must be able to liase effectively with U.S. and Afghan government officials and persons at all levels of Afghan society. Applicants must also be supportive of and committed to the U.S. and ISAF mission in Afghanistan.

Job Description: Bilateral native-level cultural advisor to support operations in the GWOT
Requirements:
•Interim Secret security clearance or higher
•Native level bi-lateral (English – Target) language proficiency (oral and written)
•Possess a demonstrated, intimate, firsthand understanding of Southwest Asian culture and Afghan society in particular, acquired by personal experience or professional study
•Possess in depth media background/experience
•Proficient computer and communication skills including word processing, graphic presentation, and spreadsheet software
•Possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
•Must be willing to work in the field as necessary
•Be able and willing to translate documents as necessary
•Standard analyst experience / training a plus
•Fluency (reading, speaking, and writing) in Pashto
