Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional who provides leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN performs patient age-specific physical, psychological, social assessments, formulates a nursing diagnosis, and then develops a plan of care that includes individualized treatment strategies. The RN manages, organizes and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. The RN functions as the assistant to the operating surgeon during the operative procedure and provides comprehensive nursing management and care during the perioperative phase. The RN, incorporating health maintenance, disease process and discharge planning, provides education of patient’s family and other health care team members. The RN is responsible for supervision of other staff, such as nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses as defined in the Montana Nurse Practice Act.
Job Requirements:
• Must possess a valid Nursing License.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a Montana Nursing License.
• 1 year previous Operating Room experience required.
• Ability and willingness to obtain CPR certification.
• Must be willing to participate in the call rotation.
