Job Description: This is supervisory work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the city's streets, alleys, bridges, and culverts. The position is responsible for overseeing snow and ice removal operations and the maintenance of trees adjacent to city streets. Responsible for the supervision of 18 employees within the department. Reports directly to the City Engineer. Must have considerable understanding and experience of the methods, tools, and equipment used in street construction and maintenance, with a work history showing an increasing responsibility in this field. Should hold or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License. Must be able to qualify for State of Nebraska certification as a City Street Superintendent within the first six months of employment.
