Job Description:
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The reliability engineer will be the principle person involved in the collection of predictive maintenance data and a key analyst, ensuring optimal equipment effectiveness and efficiencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work with plant and TPM personnel to identify monitoring needs and methods for application to critical equipment in manufacturing and distribution facilities to optimize equipment running condition and performance.
- Visit assigned facilities routinely to collect performance data for analysis and evaluate results to facilitate interpretation of machinery condition and identify early faults in machine performance.
- Based on data collection and analysis work with facility personnel to further investigate machine faults, develop recommendations for corrective action, and follow-up to ensure corrective actions were successful in resolving identified faults.
- Serve as a training and education resource to assigned facilities to transfer knowledge of PdM technologies (Ultrasound, Infrared, and Oil Analysis, etc.) to the local workforce and establish facility monitoring capabilities and processes.
- Serve as a corporate knowledge source for Predictive, Precision, and corrective maintenance techniques.
Job Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to learn and apply all technologies, methods and language of reliability and PdM/condition monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of company personnel.
- Must be detail minded, observant, competent and service oriented.
- Excellent deductive reasoning, analytical skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in ME or EE with 1+ years project/process engineering experience OR high school diploma/GED with 3+ years maintenance leadership experience
- Prior experience or exposure to PdM technologies including: vibration, ultrasonic, thermography, and oil analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of carpet, extrusion, and yarn processing equipment.
- Prior experience or exposure to alignment and balancing tools.
Salary Grade 7. Depending on experience level of candidate selected, position could be offered as an Engineer III, Salary Grade 6.
