Job Description:
Full Time Interior Design Assistant /Office Assistant
Experienced Individual with an eye for color and coordinating with a keen attention to detail needed for established Interior Design Firm
Able to perform multiple duties, follow direction well and work flexible (sometimes late) hours. Computer savvy and general office skills
Prepares and presents furniture layouts on a project basis.
Assists in selection and sale of all Home Interior resources available, such as: hardwood flooring, carpet, tile, granite, furniture, window treatments, accessories, etc.
Sales and Marketing skills, and ability to develop a base of business through clientele and Interior Design relationships

Job Requirements:
You will need a great eye for design, color, fabrics, space planning and accessorization. The ideal candidate should possess proven retail sales success, coupled with design experience and excellent communication skills. A degree in interior design or equivalent is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Welcome and engage visitors and offer a great shopping experience
• Assess customer needs and develop creative master plan to meet needs
• Make in-home visits as necessary to assess and fulfill customer needs
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers and customer
• Continue professional development by utilizing all resources and joining professional associations to stay current
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5 years sales experience
• Must have home furnishings experience or interior design
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to meet customer needs
• Customer service oriented
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Detail-oriented
• Flexible
• Positive attitude
• Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
