Job Description:
The Senior General Ledger and Cost Accountant will assure accurate financial reporting by monitoring general ledger transactions, preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining supporting schedules, reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and analyzing income and expense accounts and reporting on variances. This position will also analyze product and job cost to assure that costs in the bills of material are correct, report on the impact of changing material, labor and overhead costs on product and job profitability, support product pricing based on job costs and actively participate in assuring that appropriate margins are achieved.
Job Requirements:
Must be willing to work “hands-on” and wear a variety of hats in a small business environment. Must be a team player and able to work with others at all levels of the organization. Must be a self starter. Experience in manufacturing industry helpful. Must possess a proactive approach to identifying and offering solutions to problems. Must be able to manage multiple priorities. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be reliable and dependable.
