Based in Orlando, Florida, we are a non- profit organization providing affordable housing for low-income individuals including single, disabled homeless persons, a group rarely assisted in our community. Each of our residents has a fully-furnished room in addition to access to laundry facilities, recreation area and a swimming pool. The community is gated and includes full-time property management, after-hours security and social/residential crisis prevention assistance. We are currently seeking a part time Part-time Resident Advisor / Night Monitor to join our caring team! Part-time Resident Advisor / Night Monitor In this unique role, you will have the opportunity to provide services to residents in our supportive housing program and assist with the development of learning various daily living skills. We will also rely on you to monitor our facility to ensure the safety of our residents. Duties include: Ensuring residents are punctual in meeting scheduled appointments and commitments With guidance from Case Manager, encourage independence in seeking work or training opportunities Provide or schedule transportation when necessary Provide schedule of program activities to all residents Document resident status Assist new residents during admissions process Perform random room checks and drug screenings Monitor facility for safety for residents. The work schedule is 11:00 pm to 7:30 am Friday and Saturday night plus relief coverage as needed.
Job Requirements: Requirements: Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent; completion of some college coursework preferred Previous experience in either a work setting or volunteer setting, directly related to working with the disadvantaged who may have experienced psychological, economic, financial, emotional, and/or substance abuse Valid drivers license and proof of insurability Basic computer skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to show compassion, support, respect and encouragement to residents Benefits: Competitive pay of $9.25 - 10.00/hour Employee Assistance Program through Optum Care 24 Business casual environment Holiday dinners Future growth and advancement opportunities!
