Job Description:
General Duties of the Job:
The successful candidate will operate company vehicles and provide
courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages, check
shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service, provide
coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area
and provide related customer service functions.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma/G.E.D. Six (6) months courier experience
preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Must maintain
valid commercial drivers license (cdl) & a hazardous materials
endorsement (hme) for type of vehicle assigned & have good driving
record as outlined in policy. Ability to lift 75 lbs. ability to
maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs with appropriate
equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations
and verbal communications skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's
service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability,
dependability & excellent courier methods. Neat appearance since
customer contact is required. Must meet & maintain the qualifications
as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Subject
to regulatory alcohol & drug testing which includes testing for
marijuana, pcp, amphetamines, cocaine, & opiates. Requires medical
exam in accordance with fmcsa or faa regulations. Must pass all FedEx
Express & regulatory/statutory required background checks or security
threat assessments.

MINIMUM DUTIES OF THE JOB:

Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and
documents, while presenting the company in a professional manner.
