Full Time Medical Biller Needed

Rapidly growing Physical Therapy Practice in Great Neck, NY is seeking an experienced medical biller who has high ethical standards, a strong desire to grow within our company, possesses a strong purpose, and will help our company advocate patient care via challenging insurance companies. You must be a team player, honest and reliable. We offer competitive salaries and benefits package.

Duties and responsibilities:
Medicare billing
Workers Comp & No-Fault billing and claims submission
HMO and third party billing
Authorizations and Prior approvals
Appeals & grievances for claim payments as well as authorizations
Collections
Medicaid billing
Secondary billing (COB)

Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years experience.
Ability to multitask and follow through.
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding, modifiers and medical terminology.
Knowledge of insurance benefits.
Must be proficient in computers as well as electronic billing.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep current with insurance policy changes.
Authorization and prior approval knowledge.
Knowledge of Credentialing to insurance carriers including Medicare
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
