Job Description:
Under general administrative direction, the Director of Patient Accounts manages day-today operations of Billing and Collections for San Francisco General Hospital & Trauma Center and Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC)accounts receivable; oversees gross annual revenue of $1.5 Billion, 42,000 ccounts billed per month, and collections of $20 million per month. Administers department budgets for Patient Accounting and Credit and Collections, combined annual labor budget of $5,000,000, total 68 FTE’s. The Director of Patient Accounts also performs other related duties as assigned/required. Note: The normal annual salary range is $91,520 to $116,792. Appointments above the maximum of the normal range may be considered based on documented and substantiated recruitment and retention issues or exceptional skills, and require special approval process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four (4) years of verifiable experience within the last seven (7) years, performing administrative oversight or direct management of staff in the billing and collection of medical claims for MediCal, Medicaid, MediCare and third party/individual payors. This experience must have been obtained at an acute care facility with a minimum of three hundred (300) staffed beds.
