Our Oil and Gas client is looking for an experienced Treasury Analyst to join their growing team in their Calgary office.


Treasury Analyst

Duties:

- Promote the company's high ethical standards
- Ensure that the company's controls and procedures and internal controls over Treasury related functions are properly designed and remain effective in operation and ensure the maintenance of all SOX related requirements.
- Provide necessary support to the CEO and the CFO in their certification requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Ensure that finance policies and procedures relating to treasure functions are properly documented and effectively implemented across the company's operations
- Short term cash forecasting - coordinate gathering of information from business units and corporate office, and provide analysis of cash position, with recommedations for funding transactions.
- Long term forecasting - assist in the development of long term cash and operating forecasts and the analysis of those forecasts for long term cash funding and capital structure requirements.
- Assist corporate treasurer with subsidiary corporate secretarial functions
- Weekly bank reconciliations
- Maintain information necessary for Items 1 and 2 of the corporation's 10 K report - business, risk, and property info.
- Assist corporate treasurer in preperation of Items 1 and 2 of the corporation's 10 K report
- Prepare monthly management report for Treasury
- Liase with banks and prepare and maintain all documentation required by banks
- Maintain share capital reconciliation and records of all derivatives, including employee options.
- Provide support for merger and acquisition transactions
- Assist corporate treasurer in managing corporate payroll
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to debt covenants
- Assist corporate treasurer in managing debt facilities and relationships with debt providers
- Assist in working capital analysis, including aging of accounts payable and receivable and identifying possible bad debts.
- Participate in the Enterprise Wide Risk Management program
- Assist in the management of the corporate wide insurance program
- Participate, coordinate or lead projects for the finance department - could include accounting, treasury,reporting or other projects as identified by the treasurer,controller,or CFO




Job Requirements:
Qualifications

- High ethical standards
- Public company experience
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
- Knowledge of Canadiana and US financial regulatory requirements
- Experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Experience in rapid business and organizational growth
- 6 - 8 years experience
- University degree in Accounting or Finance, along with a designation or working towards a designation
