Job Description:
We have open 1-2 part or full-time positions in our fiber-optic facility located in Elkridge, MD for "hands-on" motivated technicians (students). We are willing to train on the job. Salary commensurate with experience. (Not computer or electronics related job).
•Responsible for assisting in the research and design of specialty fiber optic products for medical and military applications.
•Performs necessary cleaning and maintenance of all equipment
•Accurately follows all safety regulations
•Hands on with the creation of performs, cutting and cleaning glass as well as setting up and completing electrical experiments.
Job Requirements:
•2 year technical or associates degree preferred
•Knowledgeable of various chemicals and physics
•Able to lift heavy weight
•Knowledgeable of various electrical components and equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Preform Analyzer, Optical Amplifier)
•Must be safety conscious
