Job Description:
SUMMARY:
Serves as the Chief Operating Officer of United Indian Health Services, Inc. Manages all aspects of the organization
including day-to-day activities and functional relationships between the organization, Executive Governance Committee
(EGC) and the Board of Directors. Coordinates and administers the organizational policies as defined by the board.
Develops operating policies and processes and orchestrates the operations of divisions and departments. Directs and
supervises divisions, departments and program managers. Implements and monitors the budget processes of,
organization support services, and employee support programs, Coordinates, directs, administers, and the activities of the
organization in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of
Directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Implements general policies established by the Board of Directors; directs their administration and execution.
• Directs the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and
growth objectives and develops corporate business plans in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer.
• Develops, maintains and administers a sound organizational plan and implements organizational programs
• Provides oversight and supervision for organization support activities including human resources, facilities,
information system, and Board of Directors administration and support functions.
• Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives.
• Creates and directs the structures and processes that are necessary to manage the organization’s current
activities and its projected growth.
• Analyzes financial statements, reviews and authorizes expenditures, reviews procurement procedures, insures
compliance with governing fiscal directives, and reviews organizational contracts.
• Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within
the organization.
• Supervises the integration of hardware and software systems to assist in the smooth and efficient flow of
information.
• Establishes operating policies consistent with the Chief Executive Officer’s broad policies and objectives and
ensures their execution.
• Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the Chief
Executive Officer and Board of Directors.
• In coordination with Division Directors, evaluates staff, supervisors, program mangers, and organization
personnel.
• Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defines and
understood.
• Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations and laws governing business operations.


Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Six (6) years experience with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Management is
required.
• Four (4) years experience with a Masters Degree in Business Administration or Management is highly
recommended
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Shall possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible for the agency's vehicle insurance and provide proof of private vehicle coverage.ecommended.
