Job Description:
A Lawn Care Technician will maintain lawns by performing a variety of tasks, including mowing grass, trimming, edging, blowing, aerating, over seeding, leaf clean-up, pruning of plants, trees & shrubs, ground cover installationΈ & bed definition.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: High School
Minimum Experience: One (1) year
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Basic aptitude and understanding of lawn care equipment.
Preferred Field-of-Expertise: Experience or knowledge of lawn care equipment, detailed lawn care techniques and practices, and horticulture is preferred.
Job Requirements:
SKILLS:
Must be able to lift moderate to heavy equipment.
Must be familiar with the use of maintenance equipment.
Problem identification and resolution
Work independently and pay close attention to detail
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently required to stoop or bend
Regularly required to walk
Regularly required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds)
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Hand coordination required
Ability to operate power tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Potential exposure to extreme heat or cold
Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
Exposure to moving mechanical parts
Protective clothing or equipment is required including: gloves, steel-toed boots, protective eyewear
SPECIFIC SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid drivers license and good driving record is required.
Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
