Job Description: We are currently accepting applications for a Mechanical Engineer with over 5 years of full time experience in the automotive/heavy equipment industry. Candidates must be able to apply engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products ranging from small component designs to extremely large plant, machinery or vehicles. Candidates will be required to select and inspect equipments and materials for acceptance and work on all stage of a product, from research and development to design, manufacture and commissioning. Candidates will prepare detailed technical specifications, design industry standard bus depots and mechanical facilities for maintenance purpose. Candidates must be able to manage a team and communicate with vendors and contractors overseas. Candidate must hold a valid US Passport as international travelling will be required.
Responsibilities:
•Select and evaluate products based on customer requirements, make sure that products will perform consistently in specified operating environments. •Create standardized specification sheets for entire product lines. •Compile tables and illustrations for technical documents, create and improve engineering computer program applications. •Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers. •Perform highly skilled planning from design conception to product delivery. •Support management and act as a liaison with other regional offices, manufacturers, contractors and regulatory agencies. •Perform or coordinate pre-delivery quality inspections on all products. •Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques. •Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design. •Design operations facilities (Depot and Central Maintenance Facility) •Coordinate with manufacturer’s operations manager to develop and implement training programs for operators and maintenance crews. •Coordinate with potential and existing customers ‘operations managers in the development of work standards for high level of service. •Develop, implement and refine standardized process for spare parts allocation and distribution.
Job Requirements: •Must be legal to work in the U.S. •Five years of full time experience in the automotive/heavy equipment industry. •Four year degree in Mechanical Engineering •Clear and concise technical writing and verbal skills •PC fluency, Microsoft Office and database ability •Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing workflow processes and design functions. •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, and customers. •Excellent communication skills with the ability to make public presentations and create proposals and technical reports. •Comprehend, analyze, and interpret technical manuals. •Work both independently and cooperatively. •Work effectively and productively with other professionals within and outside the engineering specialism. •Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to audiences of various social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. •Effectively coordinate, perform and complete multiple duties and assignments concurrently and in a timely manner. •Meet travel requirements of the position.
•Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
