Job Description:
The position is located in Lafayette County, WI. The successful candidate Manages and implements a countywide economic development organization; performs business retention, business attraction, new business development, fundraising, marketing, tourism, social networking, and revolving loan fund administration; acts as a community liaison and develops business for public/private partnerships, identifies and responds to grant opportunities; coordinates projects; gathers data for need assessments; arranges community stakeholder meetings; works on advocacy, marketing, and public relations; works closely with the organization’s directors,employees, legislators, and staff, leads the organization’s development program from design to implementation; works closely with the board of directors to secure operational funds of a minimum $60K per year; oversees all strategic partnerships, foundation grants, sponsorships, and individual donors.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications: experience in nonprofit development; proven results in major partnership development, donor cultivation, grant writing, annual appeals, special events, and direct mail; excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, and planning skills; a sense of humor with good communication and time management skills; experience networking at state and county levels; ability to build a consensus and work independently; experience in economic development, business administration, major partnership development, donor cultivation, grant writing, and marketing is desired.
