Job Description: This role is to provide primarily environmental support and assistance to the site and includes the following responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Site Capability Compliance System Owner for environmental programs, including State of Delaware Reg. 2 Permits, Federal Title V Permit, Air Emissions Inventory, Boiler MACT, etc.
• Create and maintain environmental management systems to assure compliance with regulations, site permits and internal standards
• Provide facility personnel with timely guidance on requirements
• Provide support & leadership during audits of the Site by state and federal regulatory officials
• Develop and manage EHS monitoring programs and conduct self-assessments of the facility
• Provide regulatory research and support to ensure site processes and technical projects meet state and federal requirements
• Direct and monitor technical consultants on projects and other tasks
• Provide compliance oversight of the facility air permits and state and federal rules and regulations
Job Requirements: Position Requirements:
• BS degree or higher in Engineering or Science
• 5 or more years of experience in the environmental field
• Experience in managing compliance for air emission sources, including documenting regulatory applicability determinations, verifying process streams, understanding mitigation and controls devices, performing emissions monitoring, and calculating air emissions at a large industrial chemical or refining facility
• Experience in preparing air permit authorizations (NSR, Reg 2, Title V, etc.) and calculation of air emissions and emission monitoring at a large industrial / chemical facility
• In depth knowledge of federal and state laws governing air emissions
• Experience in the Title V permitting process
• Experience with periodic reports to state and federal agencies
• Experience in interacting directly with both State and Federal regulatory agencies
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities at the same time
• Good interpersonal skills within all levels of the business as well as external contacts
• Drives continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
• Working knowledge of PC-based software
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Position Preferences:
• MS degree or higher in Engineering or Science
• 7+ years of experience in environmental work, with substantial air focused work
• Experience with HON and MACT regulations
• Working knowledge and experience with two or more specific environmental regulatory areas (e.g. RCRA, CAA, TSCA, CWA, etc.)
• Working knowledge and experience with occupational health and safety processes (OSHA, Process Safety Management, etc,)
• Delaware experience pertaining to air, water and waste regulations
