Job Description:
Marshall County Economic Development Corporation is seeking a full-time, experienced Grants Coordinator to develop and implement a streamlined process for grant identification, acquisition and follow-up pertaining to all grant activities, public and private. The Grants Coordinator drafts grant proposals and coordinate submissions working in conjunction with the Executive Director and program staff and contract grant vendor when necessary. He/she will serve as grant liaison between the MCEDC and government entities in the county identifying and communicating programming and funding needs, and proactively eliciting success stories.
The mission of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC) is to expand and diversify the economy of the county by fostering investment in new and existing facilities and creating entrepreneurial capacity.
We are seeking an experienced grant writer with a proven track record of accessing both public and private grants. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in communications, marketing and/or grant writing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A working knowledge of community resources available to meet client/community needs is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The Coordinator must be organized, and able to work independently and as part of the team.
