Job Description: You will be part of a very experienced and dedicated team. Your contribution as a team member includes assay development and screening of compound libraries against specific targets to discover and optimize lead compounds for development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Develop assays and screen compounds in biochemical and cell-based assays to discover potent and non-toxic compounds targeting cardiovascular diseases.
2) Use appropriate automation for IC50 determination.
3) Perform assays to validate and characterize lead compound mode of action.
4) Analyze data and calculate inhibition constants.
5) Communicate findings to scientists from diverse disciplines.
Job Requirements: 1) This position requires a BS or MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or a related field of life sciences.
2) Two or more years of industry or academic research experience in basic techniques of protein biochemistry, biochemical assay development, enzymology, mammalian cell culture and sterile techniques.
3) Experience with automation and compound handling is highly preferable.
4) Clear understanding of quantitative analysis.
5) Adaptive to dynamic and timeline-conscious environment.
