Job Description:
Professional artists, animators, and designers are being solicited to apply for a handful of positions working in the digital interactive media industry in Southeastern Louisiana. Positions include:
Digital Artists
Concept Artists
Environmental Artists
Modelers/Riggers
Animators
Visual Effects Artists

A solid foundation of traditional art, design, or architectural skills is required. Extensive painting, Photoshop, modeling, and design techniques are also required in their appropriate specialties. Especially welcome are artists who may have experience working in film, visual effects, animation, or video game development.

Job Requirements:
Artists/designers applying for our positions should:
• be able to think in 3D
• have strong artistic foundations
• understand line, light, and shadow
• have good storytelling skills
• strong color theory
• have a range of styles and be able to adapt to different styles (including reproducing styles of others, including other artists or art directors)
• VFX Artists should understand and have experience with particles

Individuals applying for animation positions should:
• understand motion and physics
• have strong Maya experience
• have a keen understanding of rigging
• understand the fundamentals of animation (e.g., arc, squash, stretch, weight, timing)
• have experience working in distributed development

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years working in a team environment with several other artists, designers, and animators. They will also have at least one film, television, or game title credit on his or her resume. Artists must have the ability to be detached from their own work and be highly critical of their work, while being compassionate with others and capable of receiving critiques from producers, directors, and art directors. All of our employees must have strong oral and written communication skills, experience working in groups, an excellent work ethic, and ability to work independently.
