Job Description:
* verify insurance.
* pre-certify surgery patients.
* enter patient demographics and insurance information in billing software.
* calculate and collect patient co-pays.
* place collection calls to patients.
* answer phone calls, as needed.
* schedule patient appointments, as needed.
* analyze denied insurance claims, work independently to resubmit and resolve denied insurance claims.
* other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
* high school diploma
* two (2) years medical office experience working as a billing specialist.
* familiarity with medical office terminology.
