Job Description:
State-of-the-art manufacturing operation needs engineering services required to support production, infrastructure and safety needs, including capital planning, project development and execution, and training and support, and to ensure facility is Federally Compliant.
Responsible for implementation of approved projects, to include: project management, develop or arrange for the preparation of bid specifications and contracts with clearly defined scope of work and services descriptions and requisitions, secure all intra and inter-departmental approvals, assist in solving problems that may arise during construction and/or installation due to conflicts between design and field conditions, ensure the integrity of the authorized scope of work of each project or obtain proper authorization for specific additions.
Develop programs involving all personnel that foster a safe working culture. Partner closely with the plant safety team/committee to address and implement solutions with regard to associate safety concerns. Maintain an awareness of safety, environmental and ergonomic issues for both existing and proposed facilities and bring issue to the attention of division management for action.
pecific expertise in Packaging Automation
Experienced with Ammonia systems and Refrigeration
Knowledge and experience working with baking processes
Facility up-keep (freezer doors, coils, etc.)
Work with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, teaming environment
Proficient in MS Office products, AutoCad, and project management software
Job Requirements:
BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering. Foods industry experience – frozen and baked.
MBA a plus. Maintenance background.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish desired.
10 years experience in engineering design to include new installations or additions to process facilities. 3-4 years of the experience to be in a project leader capacity.
