Independent Sales Representative Wanted

SimpleRules has an immediate opening for an Independent Sales Professional to generate new sales revenue from new prospects.
We are looking for focused, dedicated driven sales professionals who will meet and exceed target goals, who exhibit high levels of integrity, as well as possess a strong level of business acumen and professionalism. Experience in consultative selling techniques is a plus. The successful candidate will need to be able to understand the competitive landscape of the retail and wholesale book and multimedia markets, possess a working knowledge of general business and sales practices to identify business drivers, provide effective value propositions, and deliver a compelling business case that results in closed sales (e.g. “Get the Check”). Thorough understanding of the Sales Cycle and strong negotiation skills are mandatory.

Experience selling wholesale books is highly desired, but not required. A “Hunter” mentality is necessary. Applicants should have a proven track record in generating a pipeline of prospects (leads), cultivating and managing through a sales cycle, and most importantly, closing business. Strong prospecting and client pursuit skills are essential to success in this role.

* Excellent track record of meeting and exceeding activity and revenue targets, including achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
* Proven ability in selling large/enterprise transactions
* Experience with interfacing and closing business at C-, VP- and Director-levels
* Experience selling wholesale books a strong plus.
* Ability to develop strong rapport with customers, address customer concerns, generate enthusiasm for product, and motivate customers to close the deal.
* Experience with full sales life cycle (cold calling to close)
* Superb interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Self-assured, confident, and believes in own abilities to succeed.
* Must be a team player, an independent worker, an external optimist with a “can-do” attitude.”
* Desire to excel in a competitive environment.
* Willingness to travel (when necessary)
* Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
* Although telecommuting is preferred for now, you must be able to attend weekly sales meetings (either by phone or in-person).
