GENERAL SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for assisting in the development of formulations for protein therapeutics, to include buffer preparation, stability studies and investigations for compatibility and delivery problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Knowledge of HPLC, Electrophoresis, Spectrophotometry and Buffer preparation.
2.Performs assays to determine the chemical stability of proteins in relation to excipients and storage conditions.
3.Assists in analytical methods development.
4.Assists in the development of formulations for biological molecules.
5.Assists in the development of drug substance formulations and final drug dosage forms.
6.Maintain laboratory and laboratory instrumentation.
7.Order laboratory supplies and maintain inventories.
8.Maintain laboratory notebook and records.
9.Maintain instrument records.
10.Work in a safe manor compliant to ImClone Systems policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:
BS with 2-6 years of experience, MS with 1-4 years of industry experience (Should require no training)

Experience with any of the following: Protein formulation, Protein analytics, Monoclonal Antibodies, Biophysical Characterization

Knowledge of the use of and experience with spectrophotometry, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE and IEF), HPLC.

Knowledge of protein chemistry with experience in protein sample analysis and handling.

Knowledge of and operation of biophysical analytical instrumentation (Fluorimeter, DSC, HIAC, DLS and Osmometer).
