Job Description:
Large not-for- profit organization, located on the Queens / Long Island border is seeking a Director of Development and Fundraising to join their organization.

This individual will be responsible for planning, leading and implementing all fundraising efforts and initiatives including major gifts program, fundraising campaigns and events and building and maintaining internal and external relationships. Other responsibilities include strategically planning, implementing, overseeing and budgeting the costs of the events, attending conferences, and communicating with marketing groups to enhance exposure, as well as development and managing staff (including coordinators and volunteers) as needed.

Job Requirements:
• 8 + years of experience in development and fundraising at a not for profit organization
• Previous experience targeting high net worth individuals and corporations for gifts
• Proven history of raising $1 million plus (annually)
• Ability to develop and manage budgets
• Excellent relationship management and leadership skills
• A creative thinker with a passion to make a difference
• Stewardship education a plus
• Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation will include base salary, plus excellent benefits.
