Position Summary:

The HR Business Leader will design and execute an HR strategy that assists business leaders in meeting goals through implementation of HR initiatives and programs which address the organization’s key business drivers. This includes identifying current business unit HR trends and market trends, leading the implementation of annual HR programs, partnering with resource management to meet talent needs, leading succession planning, supporting new business opportunities, designing the integration strategy for transition/acquisition of new teams. And leading a team of HR business partners supporting the segments within the company. In addition, the HR Business Leader will support a performance culture by coaching and counseling business unit leaders on associate relations issues.


Education:
Advanced degree or equivalent.

Job Requirements:
Experience:

20+ years of related experience; 15+ years of managerial experience.

Detailed Position Description:

Develops and leads execution of annual Business Unit (BU) HR plan. Participates in development of annual Corporate HR plan. Introduces to BU leadership and partners with HR Delivery leader to oversee implementation, within BU, of annual HR programs (performance management, compensation planning, and succession planning and training/development programs).

Plan balances critical BU HR issues with enterprise HR initiatives and annual programs.

Influences corporate HR initiatives during annual planning based on BU priorities.

Analytical skills to assess BU HR trends and recommend appropriate program response.

Collaboration with HR Delivery leaders to assure alignment/focus of delivery team and execution of HR programs.
Partners with BU resource management and recruiting teams to align services to meet BU talent needs.

Facilitates ongoing communication and review of services between BU leadership, recruiting and workforce management teams.

Leads corporate succession planning process for assigned division(s) focusing on key roles for purposes of securing a talent bench (Acct Leader, Acct Leader directs & BU Leader Team). Supports executive leader in preparing corporate reporting and planning.

Knows high performers, high potentials, attrition risk & low performers.
Consults with BU senior leadership to facilitate IDP, retention, replacement and succession planning.

Primary BU HR resource for new business opportunities. Represents value proposition and benefits of Perot leadership, associate care and supporting HR policy and practice.

Ability to represent Perot Systems people philosophies and answer questions related to HR/leadership programs and practice.

Collaborates with HR Business Support Leader to identify HR transition/acquisition team and develop plan to integrate new associates. Leads integration of new (resulting from acquisition) BU HR teams.

Engages appropriate HR functional SME to complete acquisition analysis.
Participates as member of acquisition team and modifies BU HR annual plan to include integration plan for new entities.
