Job Description:

The Security Operations Tech II will protect personnel, property and processes against harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Must comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and company's environmental compliance policy. Essential duties include:

* Meet all skill sets of Tech I.
* Coordinate and schedule daily routine refinery duties with Carlin Security Center.
* Become proficient in use of computerized patrol system.
* Become fingerprint trained.
* Assist in training of Security Tech Is and new Tech IIs.
* Make good decisions and proper notifications on non-critical issues.
* Be self-motivated.

Working Conditions:

* Wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, steel toe shoes, safety glasses or any other equipment to perform duties safely.
* Walk and stand on uneven and wet surfaces in various weather conditions for extended periods of time.
* Operate light vehicles including pre-operational inspection, mounting and dismounting, pushing and pulling levers, knobs and steering wheels.
* Hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of alarms.
* Read, comprehend and interpret Property Removal Passes, Material Safety Data Sheets, labels on products, and warning signs.
* Have strong communication skills.
* Be able to move sufficiently on rough terrain to approach vehicles entering and leaving the property for the purpose of inspecting vehicles.
* Climb up and down stairs several times during day/night shifts.
* Bend, stoop and twist frequently.
* Lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 pounds of equipment and devices often.
* Reach both above and below shoulders occasionally.

Qualifications

* Must meet all requirements for skill level.
* No written disciplinary actions past 6 months.
* Must pass a security background check.
* Equivalent qualifications for external candidate.
