Job Description:
Position Summary:

The Director of Trade Marketing and Customer Strategy is responsible for collaboratively developing with the KSE Senior Marketing and Sales Leadership Team the overall Corporate AMPS strategies including assortment, merchandising, pricing, and shelving that will deliver the companies annual business objectives. This position will lead the corporate category management process and will leverage all internal and external (both account and broker) tools to position KSE as the leader and expert within the refrigerated dessert category. This position will be the gate-keeper in managing trade promotional plans, reviewing sales plans with the sales management tool of Synectics and broker post promotional analysis tools to report on spending results in effectiveness and efficiency in the areas of trade, spoils and deductions. This person manages the sales administration department to ensure for the timely resolution with customer deductions in conjunction with assigned broker administrative support. This position will actively lead the annual sales planning process and act as key liaison between Sales and Marketing to align business objectives and strategies. This position will be responsible for working with both Sales and Marketing teams to recommend, help execute, and evaluate account specific customer and shopper marketing programs that strengthen our relationships within key accounts and that are effective in building awareness, trial, and/or repeat tactics for the KSE brands. Finally this position will be the gate-keeper of corporate sales reporting communications both internally and externally.



Essential Functions:

• Oversees and participates in the gathering of internal and external Corporate sales reporting. Works as the key conduit between field sales, marketing, IT, logistics, finance, production, and the Broker.
• Works with sales and marketing for assigned product line to research, develop, and recommend AMPS strategies including assortment, merchandising, pricing and shelving . Reviews ongoing strategies and plans and coordinates adjustments/corrections with field sales team to ensure annual business objectives are attained.
• Manages sales administration department , field sales, and the broker ensuring that annual business plans are implemented with accuracy and timeliness into Synectics and that customer deductions are being addressed with the appropriate urgency.
• Works to manage the ROI analysis with trade spend, account specific and shopper marketing programs, spoilage and other miscellaneous matters and to implement these key learning’s into best practices that become part of the annual business planning guide-lines.
• Maintains current Trade Spoilage Policy for implementation.
• Provides analysis for volume status versus plan, promotional effectiveness and opportunity identification
• Develops and leads the KSE category management process leveraging both internal external tools and processes (both broker and key account tools) to position KSE as both the leader and expert within the refrigerated dessert and breakfast categories.
• Maintains account management tool of “Synectics” and ensures all software is up to date and is being implemented by sales team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Traits:

• 4 year college degree in related discipline.

• 8 years of related sales & marketing experience.
