The company is currently looking for the right District Sales Manager for its Saskatoon sales region.


Position profile
Working from our client’s Saskatoon office, your primary mandate will be to drive sales revenues and gross profits in the Business Interiors segment by implementing winning sales strategies, developing market penetration plans, supporting the sales team day-to-day and planning, organizing and managing sales-related activities in conformity with the predetermined business plan.

Key responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring sales activities throughout the Saskatoon sales region to achieve sales and profit objectives;
- Managing and executing strategic sales initiatives as set out by the Director;
- Managing growth in sales by developing plans in conjunction with Account Managers to optimize customer contact and engagement;
- Training, coaching and mentoring Account Managers using sales (Pinnacle) training and problem solving techniques to establish optimal selling behaviors, develop skills and maximize sales opportunities;
- Analyzing business segment opportunities, forecasting sales results and developing budgets and quotas for the sales team;
- Making regular sales calls with the furniture specialists on customer teams to target and secure key opportunities;
- Regularly accompanying Account Managers on sales calls to the targeted key accounts for the purpose of reviewing their office products needs and assessing the quality of service they receive;
- Working with Designers, Commercial Realtors and Property Developers to develop leads and help to close large deals;
- Reviewing Business Interiors project updates to assist in the preparation of monthly business reports;
- Reviewing, processing and approving business plans/proposals by Account Managers and maintaining customer files and spec pricing to effectively document and monitor Business Interiors sales activities;
- Preparing and leading monthly and weekly sales meetings;
- Collaborating with business partners to achieve team results, realize new initiatives, contribute to overall quality and drive the department’s success.

Requirements

- College Diploma or University Degree in commerce, business or communication (or equivalent years of experience);
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and documented success in strategic sales to medium and large business segments;
- Minimum 5 years of field sales experience and the knowledge and ability to apply advance consultative selling techniques;
- A solid working knowledge of the Business Interiors industry;
- Excellent skills in team building, communication, facilitation, negotiation and presentation;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge of customer sales database systems and sales productivity software tools (specific knowledge of HFA, Workbench, Impromptu and Maximizer is an asset)
