Job Description: Objective: This position will be the lead Organization Development (OD) practitioner. It will encompass a broad scope of strategic and tactical OD, Leadership, and Training and Development Initiatives, and will collaborate closely with operational managers to provide guidance and support for organizational effectiveness programs and processes. Primary responsibility is to create and drive organizational effectiveness strategies that align with senior leadership vision for the company.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Partner with senior managers, CEO and Business Unit Managers, to design and deliver assessment and development systems for team effectiveness and high performance: including CEO's Executive Team, Division Leadership Teams, and the Board/CEO Team. Develop and implement innovative, individualized and research-based leadership models, programs, and processes; to include overall supervision for the Granite Leadership Development Process and customized leadership programs as required. Create, deliver, and oversee an executive coaching function within the company; to include the selection and approval of appropriate assessment-for- development tools and guidelines;this coaching capacity to be utilized in service of leadership development, transition, planning, performance support, high-potential coaching, and executive development projects as needed. Design and manage the selection and development of high-potential employees for both Divisions and Corporate succession planning; to include the identification of key positions, the creation of success profiles, high- potential identification and validation, mapping the talent pool, and creating development plans and processes to accelerate a robust talent pipeline. Provide oversight and support to the organizational learning and development function to ensure leverage and utilization of programs and activities; also provide selected services for organizational support of other business strategies i.e. organization design, change management, or cultural integration. Assist with the identification and supervision of appropriate vendors or special expertise as required.
Job Requirements: Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree required with emphasis in organizational development, behavioral sciences, human resources, business management, or education. Advanced Degree strongly preferred (Master's / Ph.D). At least ten years experience in an Organizational Development or Organizational Effectiveness leadership position, preferably with a Fortune 1000 company. Experience in management of professional staff
