Job Description:
The Product Manager is a key, strategic
position responsible for championing
their respective products and expanding
each product’s market presence. The
individual must be comfortable working
closely with development, QA, support,
sales and marketing teams. This is
largely an inbound product management
role – though the strategic decisions
made in this role have immediate impact
on customer’s experience with our
solutions.
The ideal candidate would have the
following:

Understands and quantifies the market
for their Products via market research,
market analysis and customer/prospect
feedback
Develops requirements and associated
documents for each release of the
Product
Develops and maintains the Product
Roadmap, recommending feature set vs.
cost and timing tradeoffs while ensuring
it is consistent with Austin Logistics’
business and product strategies
Synthesizes competitive analysis and
ensures that their Product Roadmaps
takes competitive pressures into account
Works with Development to assess
adjacent and complementary technologies
that are appropriate for inclusion in
their Products
Acts as a thought leader for their
Products and represents their vision and
roadmaps in public forums such as
conferences, standards bodies, industry
analyst meetings, etc.
Own their Product's positioning and
messaging for all appropriate buyer
personas
Create the requisite sales enablement
tools and support materials
Manages the Beta test and launch/market
readiness activities for new software
products and version releases

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years of product
management experience for enterprise
software solutions
Deep domain expertise in providing
software tools or commercial solutions
for the Financial Services and
Telecommunications industries
Experience with analytic (predictive,
optimization, stimulation) capabilities
a plus
A good working understanding of
underlying enterprise software
technology concepts, including: java /
object technologies, relational
databases, relational database design,
application integration, service
oriented architecture, application
architecture, configuration and
extensibility, modularity, performance,
scalability, requirements gathering,
etc.
Manage product performance (e.g.,
win/loss analysis) and operational
metrics dashboards
Exceptional written and verbal
communication skills
A bachelor's degree in technology or
business from a major university; MBA a
plus
