Job Description:
Graf Optical Family Eye and Glaucoma is looking for a Medical Coder Specialist/Accounts Receivable in Roseville, MN. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the billing process up to and including collections. This person should have experience in medical collections & billing, healthcare management, medical terminology, and general accounting. Job Requirements:
The candidate must have the following experience:
1) 1+ years of medical coding experience.
2) Previous optical customer service experience.
3) Preferably knowledge of coding, payer, federal billing guidelines, anatomy, physiology and disease processes.
4) Reliable and dependable.
The job functions and responsibilities include:
1) Review medical records to ensure accuracy of ICD-9 coding.
2) Identify coding errors and recommend changes.
3) Discuss and explain coding issues with optometrist and office manager.
4) Perform chart reviews.
