LifeGas is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to join the team in the Albany. NY area.

Job Responsibilities:
•Performs cylinder maintenance repairs & minor regulator valve repairs.
•Undertake automated ultrasonic testing of gas containers in accordance with industry standards and procedures to locate the presence of potential defects.
•Perform visual inspection of gas containers in accordance with industry standards and procedures to identify the presence of potential defects.
•Perform manual ultrasonic testing of gas containers to confirm the presence of potential defects.
•Perform shipping and receiving of gas containers in accordance with established processes and procedures.
•Stamp gas containers after completion of exams to indicate D.O.T. required requalification information.
•Apply primer and finish coating to gas containers as required.
•Complete and maintain regulatory and corporate required documentation records.
•Subjected to periodic audits and surveillances conducted by independent 3rd parties, regulatory agencies, customer representatives and company management.
•Perform housekeeping of work area and periodic equipment maintenance as necessary.
•Support stocking facility operations as needed.
•Operate forklift to transport gas containers to designated work locations.


Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
•AS Technical Degree preferred or High School Graduate with equivalent experience in relevant technical field.
•Experience handling, inspecting and testing gas cylinders a plus.
•Maintenance of electro-mechanical systems and controls.
•Ability to lift 75 lbs.
•Mechanically inclined.
•Experience in the compressed gas industry or in the healthcare industry a plus.
•Experience with auto mechanics a plus.
