Job Description:
Identify operational risks, develop
recommendations to mitigate or eliminate
risks and work with the business areas
and other division/external staff to
implement recommendations. Perform
operational risk impact reviews for
audits, new products, processes, and
systems that relate to the areas.
Identify risks and ensure risks are
mitigated prior to implementation of the
new product, process, or system. Ensure
appropriate and timely compliance
monitoring occurs for all key risk areas
and ensure that all findings are
resolved efficiently and timely. Ensure
that the coverage areas'
policies/procedures are current,
comprehensive and well documented,
ensure staff provides timely,
comprehensively and accurate op risk
reporting. Responsible for the
implementation of state of the art
operational risk management practices.
Make recommendations regarding hiring
and retention of staff and assign,
motivate, evaluate, train and counsel
assigned staff. Job requires a
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or
experience from which comparable
knowledge and skills may be acquired. A
minimum of seven years experience in the
financial services industry in such
areas as compliance, risk management
and/or audit, with a minimum of five
years management experience is required.

Works with infrastructure SA and
managers to control infrastructure-
related IT risks including deployment
risks (i.e., Change Management),
processing risk, operational risks
(e.g., backup, bcp), information
security and physical security risks.

Job Requirements:
Must have CISA or CISSP and strong
information security background.
Bachelor degree in Business, Economics,
Management Information Systems, Computer
Science or related fields. Experience
with Windows, Linux, Oracle, Sybase,
UDB, Mainframe, HP Openview, Remedy,
Prior Big 4, ITIL, CISM experience
desirable.
Thorough conceptual and practical
knowledge and understanding of SOX,
Cobit and COSO.

Also required are strong analytical and
problem solving skills, attention to
detail, ability to work independently
and as a team member.

Ability to multi-task to meet competing
priorities and deadlines under pressure,
and strong organizational, communication
(written and oral) and interpersonal
skills.

Financial services industry experience
desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel,
Visio and PowerPoint.
