RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

Must assist in the coordination of the daily activities of the Mine non-exempt operations staff and work closely with the Mine Maintenance Department and Mine Engineering to ensure continuity of mine operations. The candidate must direct production and drilling crews to safely achieve budgeted production needs. Other duties include approving employee timecards, maintaining consistency with company policies, facilitating crew meetings, and providing the leadership necessary to develop safe, productive employees. Additional responsibilities or duties may be required to meet company needs. The Mine Operations Supervisor must have demonstrated a history of good individual and group safety practices and adherence to strict environmental guidelines. This is a rotating shift position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have five years mining experience with at least two years in a Lead position. Candidates must have knowledge of heavy mining equipment and MSHA regulations. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and advanced prioritization skills. Computer skills are not required but are desired.
