Job Description:
• This is an exciting opportunity to run an entrepreneurial start-up company with unique competitive advantages in the infant layette business.
• The CEO will provide the leader¬ship to dramatically “take the company to the next level” by providing organizational structure, strategize brand, packaging and revenue and grow revenue.
• Recruit and build infrastructure to scale the business.
• This is an exciting role for someone who has the ability to lead a children’s soft goods company as CEO.
• The Board recognizes the need to structure a highly competitive compensation package including meaningful equity participation.
Job Requirements:
• A proven track record of sound strategic decision-making and P&L responsibility in an infant layette, children’s apparel environment.
• A Sales, Marketing background would be beneficial.
• Experience delivering increasing profitability over an extended period of time.
• Previous experience as an innovator and experience in successfully building a “brand” in a respected consumer-centric organization would be beneficial.
• Experience in a consumer products company with wholesale to retailers is preferred.
• Experience reporting to and partnering with a sophisticated Board/investor/private equity group is a plus. Having a demonstrated evidence of a professional “win” is important.
• The successful candidate will have some children’s background; they must exhibit a genuine empathy and concern for the health and wellbeing of newborns and infants and their parents; they need to “get it” so they can be authentic to the sales team and customer base.
• A sales and marketing-oriented person who understands the metrics/issues in a high volume wholesale environment.
