Journeyman Electrician (Washington State Electrical Limited Energy Journeyman (06) License required.)

Summary: Journeyman Electricians report directly to Technician Supervisor, but are responsible to the Service Dispatchers and Project Managers on a daily activities basis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, performing alarm, CCTV, fire alarm, access control and related systems service, repair, programming and modification. Responsible for completing service orders and other tasks as assigned by the Service Dispatchers and Project Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Completes service orders as assigned by Service Dispatchers and Project Managers
• Performs system add-on's and upgrades as required.
• Tests and repairs systems as necessary to ensure performance of system.
• Work in compliance with the Company's safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
• Ensures all paperwork is returned on time and completed accurately. (Daily Timesheets, Service repair orders, and all related documents)
• Communicates daily with Service Dispatchers and or Project Manager on work progress, delays, equipment requirements and general status of jobs.
• Paper work is kept up to date daily including:
o Timesheets are accurate, filled out completely with job numbers, phase codes, times add up, hours are correct, timesheet is signed and turned in daily to Operations. Responsible to ensure timesheet has arrived at operations. Journeymen are also responsible to ensure apprentice's timesheets are accurate.
• Responsible for attending training as scheduled on company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
• All work is performed to Company standards and quality installation techniques are practiced.
• All jobs are run within each phase's estimate. (Example: Service calls, upgrades, add-on"s, etc.)
• Continues to seek and take advantage of opportunities for continued education in industry related areas as well as personal growth development.
• Must provide and maintain basic necessary basic hand tools and small power tools to accomplish service and installation of systems.
• Occasional out of town travel and/or stays, overtime hours, and participation in after hours emergency service rotating schedule must be acceptable in this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Washington State Electrical Limited Energy Journeyman (06) License required. NICET II Engineering Certificate in Life Safety and Fire Systems is Preferred. (If not yet obtained, Employee must be actively working to obtain. Valid Washington State Driving License required. Must maintain driving record that is deemed insurable by Company's Auto Insurance Underwriter.
