Job Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This person will work as a member of the development staff supporting .Net Applications using Visual Studio, Visual Basic.Net and C# Object Oriented Programming. This person must be a self starter, able to develop without a detailed system specification document, able to solve routine programming problems, and must be able to effectively debug. This person will spend at least 80% of their time writing or maintaining application program logic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Analyze technology architecture; design, develop, test, commercial based applications; participates in and confers with team members regarding application technologies; assist in the research and evaluation of new technologies and software packages; participates in sprint planning and daily sprint meetings; confer with team members to develop project plans; and confers with and interacts with business partners.

Job Requirements:

Must have three or more years of experience in the following technologies: JavaScript, SQL-Server 2000/2005, Net Framework 2.0/3.0, Visual Basic.Net and C#.Net, Web Services, ASP, COM, XML, Transact SQL, AJAX, Object Oriented Programming (OOP), and Visual Studio 2003/2005

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with Scrum of other agile development methodologies. Familiar with relational database concepts. Must have excellent troubleshoot skills and possess debugging skills to resolve technical issues that arise from software design and implementation and instabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree, technical certification or equivalent experience. Other preferred skills: Adobe Flash development (ActionScript), Scene7, Endeca, Kentico, ADXStudio DB2Connect, IBM MQ Series, DB2, XSLT, Websphere Portal, Java, and proficient in working with applications based on 4-Tier Architecture and n-Tier Architecture.
