Job Description:
The Engineering Manager is a hands-on role responsible for the prioritization, design, development and implementation of engineering projects to ensure on-time and on-budget completion to internal and external customers. Supports lean initiatives, manufacturing, sales and marketing programs. Provides direction and communication to peers, subordinates, and superiors regarding project status and management. Interfaces regularly with production employees, buyers, suppliers, sales, marketing, and others to ensure that plans and programs are being completed in a timely, cost effective manner. Ideal candidate would be a BSME with filtration industry background. ASME Certified individual is highly desirable. SolidWorks Cad preferred, Configuration Management, Tolerance stack-up and GD&T experience preferred.


Job Requirements:
Frequent interaction with all members of the organization, vendors and customers.
Provides assistance to all employees.
Directly manages and supports engineering projects.
Acts as liaison between suppliers and company.
Provides technical assistance and support to customer inquiries.
Maintains costs, budgets, development of personnel and department status reports.
Team player with previous lean and project management experience.
Must have demonstrated the ability to take a concept to production on-time and on-budget.
Experience with ASME standards and compliance, pressure vessel design, DFM, component and assembly design and analysis, carbon and stainless steel properties, manufacturing processes (especially fabrication), materials science, configuration management and control, AutoCad, SolidWorks, and fundamental engineering processes.
Demonstrated success in a demanding fast paced environment.
Willing to teach and take initiative.
Able to quickly assess, define and implement market leading engineering practices.
Manage assigned projects on budget and on time.
Support company-wide cost reduction efforts.
Support daily sales, production and quality control activities. Provide status reports on all projects and activities.
