Job Description:
The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of tax services for multiple clients in a variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services; developing and managing staff; working closely with partners and staff on client management, delivering innovative tax planning as well as practice development and business development activities. This role calls for minimal travel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understand and manage firm risk on tax services.
• Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects
• Review of complex tax returns
• Consult on complex tax matters.
• Perform and manage tax research projects
• Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations.
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting & CPA required. Masters in Taxation preferred
• 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting required.
• Experience in Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership returns.
• Experience with FAS109 required and FIN48 preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Proven success managing multiple engagements required.
• Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
• Experience working with in-bound and out-bound tax clients a plus
