Supervisor - Finishing/Pressing - 3rd Shift - Plant HW (127617-552) Job

Position Objective: To supervise a safe, efficient and productive work environment so as to satisfy our customers (both internal and external) requirements, and improve the overall abilities of all employees.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for the daily shift operation of the finishing and milling departments.


• Responsible for approving time in Kronos, employee counseling and the assurance of Safety, Quality and Productivity.


• Directly manage the activities of operations.


• Work with department managers, process engineers and other staff to improve processes and profitability.


• Work well with other supervisors and shift leads to ensure service of the product to the customer. Identifying and submit Advanced Safety Audits  on a daily basis.


• Continuously strive to provide a safe work environment to help reach our goal of Zero accidents.


• Must be familiar with all Quality Procedural and Instructional documents pertaining to the department.


• Tour department(s) observing quality and operation of equipment and address issues as needed.


• Investigate production problems and take corrective action as needed.


• Work with the R & D group to process TPRs in a timely manner.


• Follow procedure for employees returning from LOA or Layoff.


• Submit work requests as necessary in EZ Entry.
