Job Description:
Centerplate, the food/beverage, and merchandise sector of the Newark Arena, is currently hiring. We are looking for Part-Time Concessions staff. The positions we have are for Cashiers, Runners, and Grill/Fry Cooks. The 2009-2010 hockey season is approaching, and were are looking for motivated, customer service inclined employees. It's a great way to make extra money. The position has the following responsibilities:

Completing cash and credit card transactions with arena customers
Assisting other cashiers/runners with completion of orders as necessary
Keeping work stations sanitary and clean
Cooking all food items to appropriate temperatures
Being able to follow a Food Prep Sheet
Ensure all orders are given to the customer within a timely manner
Completing tasks assigned by Stand Managers and Stand Supervisors
Moving efficiently, and completing orders quickly, so the guests can watch the event
Being able to stand/move around for at least four (4) to six (6) hours at a time
Check customer orders to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction
Comply with Centerplate's Cash Handling policies and procedures
Assist in opening of stands
Provide excellent customer service at all times (VERY IMPORTANT)!!!
Act as initial contact for customers with concerns or complaints
Suggest additional food and beverage items during the sale – “up selling”
Assist in keeping the stand or work area neat, clean and well stocked
Assist with closing procedures after the event
