Job Description:
Business Resource Solutions, LLC is a shared services organization representing the Bristol Alliance of Companies for all Human Resource and recruiting activities. Bristol Construction Services, LLC is currently seeking candidates for the following opening: UXO Technician III.
Qualifying candidate will supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of MEC and handling of demolition materials. This position is temporary.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Prepare an explosives storage plan per all applicable guidance.
2. Prepare required UXO munitions response actions and/or range maintenance administrative reports.
3. Prepare standard operating procedures for on-site munitions responses and/or for range clearance activities.
4. Assist in the preparation of risk and hazards analyses.
5. Conduct daily site safety briefings.
6. Supervise the conduct of all on-site UXO-related operations.
7. Inspect and certify and/or verify MPPEH as safe or as to the explosive hazard it may present for transfer within the Department of Defense or release from DoD control per current policies and standards.
Job Requirements:
Education
Graduate of a military EOD School of the United States. Graduate of a military EOD school of Canada, Great Britain, Germany, or Australia. Graduate of a formal training course of instruction or EOD assistant courses.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years prior military EOD and/or commercial UXO experience in munitions response actions or range clearance activities, as appropriate for the contracted operation. Must have HAZWOPER certification.
Special Requirements/Certifications
Ability to operate heavy equipment and mechanical brush clearing machinery desired.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to at least 50 pounds or more.
