Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and ensure timely and accurate execution of the monthly accounting close process
• Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly cost accounting reports
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis of financial and cost accounting data.
• Develop and manage initiatives to reduce and effectively utilize working capital
• Identify and coordinate efforts to improve profitability of business
• Develop accurate budget and forecasts, identify risks and work with business partners to develop action plans to achieve financial expectations
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, forecast and prior year
• Develop standard cost data and accurate inventory valuations
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
• Perform financial analysis of gross margins and cost drivers
• Perform financial analysis of bills of materials, overheads costs, inventory evaluations, raw material costs, and labor costs
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases and computer software systems
• Become a system expert and support identification of opportunities to enhance current systems
• Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls to assure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting requirements
• Development, maintenance, management and adequacy evaluation of SOX internal control structure.
• Create, maintain and successfully manage relationships with internal and external auditors
• Lead and develop capabilities of finance team

Job Requirements:
• Extensive experience with managing & directing a team of accounting professionals
• Advanced understanding of cost accumulation in the manufacturing process, including the development of direct material, direct labor and manufacturing overhead standard costs and the corresponding understanding and explanation of variances to standard.
• Ability to identify and streamline inefficient processes, both within the accounting organization and the supply chain.
• Self motivated individual possessing the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience with ERP system implementations a plus
• Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong GAAP reporting experience
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• 5+ years of accounting and supervisory experience is required
• 5+ years of related experience in financial management, reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Accounting is required
• Master’s degree in accounting preferred
